Both Navigation Lingo and Nav-External movie demonstrate Lingo that lets users navigate within a movie or jump to other movies.
This movie shows how to use the following Lingo commands:
o go next and go previous
o go to frame "label", go to movie "name", and go to frame "label" of movie "name"
To observe how Lingo navigation moves the playback head, play Navigation Lingo directly from Director with the Score open. A marker identifies the beginning of each scene in these movies. Each scene uses the command go to the frame to loop in the frame. The go the frame + 1 command has the movie continue on to the next frame.
About play done:
The play done command is useful for many types of navigation. It doesn't need to record the name, marker, or frame that the movie came from and automatically returns to the frame from which it was invoked. However, play done can't be used in a movie in a window, which is how this movie plays when viewed from the Director Help. Therefore, it's not used in this sample movie.
